
Installing the landing light
On this page we are cutting open the wing leading edge to install the
landing light. It was scary at first, but worked out well using
the dremel tool with a cutorr wheel. After cutting a hole in the
leading edge we placed the lense in the opening and marked it for
trimming to fit. Quite a few steps involved here including the
lense, drilling and installing nutplates and a stiffener to attache the
lenxe, and putting nutplates on 2 of the ribs to attache the light
mounting bracket. It turned out very good.
